Lance Anthony Gooden is skilled in traditional and contemporary furniture restoration techniques. Beginning his career as an apprentice in 1984, he trained and then worked for prominent antique dealers in Suffolk and Essex. Lance’s work was regularly sent to auction houses and showrooms across the country.

 

The Workshop

In 1994 Lance established his own workshop, LA Polishers in the North Essex village of White Colne near Halstead and Colchester and he has maintained an enviable reputation with clients in East Anglia and London. Exceptional levels of craftsmanship and an extensive knowledge of antique furniture and restoration methods, along with an attention to detail and the desire to bring out the beauty in every piece, is central to the success of Lance’s small business. The workshop is well situated for commissions in East Anglia & London. Pickup/delivery can be arranged.
